There are three orgranization planning the Juneteenth Celebration Event.

The Josephine School Community Museum (JSCM) whose mission is to create and manage a living museum dedicated to restoring our original 1882 school house and sharing the people, objects and stories that form the continuing legacy of Clarke County's African history and heritage. Each year, the JSCM gives scholarships to Clarke County graduates. JSCM is an incorporated 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. website: www.jschoolmuseum.org

The Josephine Improvement Association (JIA) originally formed in the early 1960s to help keep Josephine City a beautiful, family-centered community. Today, they have helped residents of Josephine Street receive proper sewage, sanitation and paved streets and sidewalks. In addition, JIA, through sponsored events, recognizes black entrepreneurs and senior citizens throughout the community. JIA is an incorporated 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

The Clarke County Training School-Johnson Williams High School Reunion Association (CCTS-JWHS) is an organization which brings alumni and friends back together every two years to raise funds so that we might offer scholarships to deserving high school graduates. During COVID, CCTS-JWHS have not met but have had fund raisers which still allowed the organization to offer a scholarship each year. CCTS-JWHS is a not-for-profit organization.
